Jul. 14, 2007 - British Classic Yacht Club Regatta Cowes

This year's Regatta saw three of our yachts in attendance. Caressa came round from the East Coast, Infanta and Josephine were in home waters. The concensus was that this year was the best yet with more than 50 beautiful classic yachts gathered together in West Cowes Marina.

Each day sees some action on the water, an organised social event and lots of informal get togethers as those attending renew old acquaintances and make new ones.

It's difficult to describe what a fabulous week this is. For me it's a bit like Christmas when I was a child. The aching anticipation stretched over the months before, a flurry of exitement followed by bewilderment that's it's all over so soon, the melancholy of the day after as the marina empties which is tempered only by the thought that we will all be back next year.

Glad you enjoyed the week!
The Caressa team seemed to be making full use of their time - every time I turned around they were either sailing or drinking on other yachts... .sussing out the opposition or ensuring they didn't make it to the start line on time?!

Maybe theres a challenge in it.... next year a bottle of champagne for the Caressa crew that gets the most sails on other yachts?!

Look forward to catching up with you soon.
