It was too choppy off the jetty and pontoon today so we've come along the coast where we can tie up alongside. It's been decided to shoot a scene down below and Tai's character preparation has proved pretty thorough. She so looks the part the only theng the art department had to do was hide the portrait of Nelson.
Bringing the boat round and tieing her up was pretty much all we had to do. We still have to be here in case she has to be moved or a fender needs to be adjusted or some such tweak.
So there is lots of standing round with idle chit chat interupted by standing around without idle chit chat when scenes are being shot. Did I mention not to have your mobile phone switched on?
Got a call from Jonathan saying that last years film we did with Hampshire Maid, Cassandra's Dream is being hailed as a masterpiece after being premiered as the Venice Film Festival. A few of the crew here worked on it and there is general air of scepticism at the news. Perhaps someone worked a miracle in the edit suite.Anyway we are looking forward to seeing. We worked on it for seven days so we only have a vaugue idea of the story.
Stellan and the make up department played a great joke on everybody today. Can't say what they did, you'll have to watch the film. |
