I haven't got a picure of this because the camera was pointed at me. The Director wanted a shot of Fernando from the beach as the sun went down behind her. Someone had to be asleep on deck so, as the only one with a sleeping bag, I was a natural for the part.
I wanted to get it right so I got the 2nd AD to ask the director what my motivation in this scene was. 'Tiredness,' came the reply over the radio.
'I'm good at that' I thought.
'and get him to keep his back to the camera'
'We've all got to start somewhere.' I thought, however I was careful to not actually fall asleep as the inevitable snoring might have ruined he the scene.
The sun sank below the horizon. 'It's a wrap. You can go guys, thank you'
