Jan. 22, 2006 - Classic Sailing Club at the Boat Show

Classic Sailing Club used the London Boat Show to stage our official launch.

Although many exhibitors said it was the quietest show for years, we were very busy such was the interest from classic yacht lovers. Of particular interest was the pristine seagull which stopped many in their tracks. Apologies to all those purists who objected to the the choice of colour: we think it looks great.

We signed up some founder members and spoke to many, many more prospective members. 

Some existing wooden yacht owners said we had made them think twice about the advantages of being a boat owner.  I think we will see a few 'retiring from ownership but not from sailing'.
