Come on in and say hello via a 'comment'. We've cruised our Hanse 46' sailboat from UK to Egypt to the Caribbean mainly two handed from 2004 to 2008 - and enjoyed every minute. We are back temporarily in the UK - but sunshine beckons us again for next summer.

4th - 6th July 2006 - Kekova

Posted at 11:19 AM, Thursday, July 6, 2006

We were invited to a dinghy raft up Independance Day party organised by some Yanks in the bay on the evening of the 4th - great blast and US flagged boats seemed to arrive out of no-where to attend.

We were not the only non US dinghy present - several of the ex rally yachts nave since arrived in this area and also came along for the party.

Have been wasting away the days just exploring the many anchorages and coves that make up the Kekova Roads area - facinating place.

Treid to leave yesterday for Fineke and then Kemer but turned back when we heard the French were playing the Portuguese in world cup semi finals.  Enjoyed watching it with a big crowd of froggies after super meal at Onurs Restuarant.  Recommended for fish or filets.  15 ytl a piece.

Aim now to leave on 7th to cruise back direct to Kemer in one hit.  May stoppover if we find a nice protected anchorage on route - but otherwise ETA could be late tomorrow evening.

Weathers still drop dead lovely - grumbly storm clouds have drifted around the mountains close by for 48 hours but never come close enough to even block the sun, let alone give us the pleasure of some rain.

Cheers

Rain !!! F'n Rain !!!

I'm looking out my office window and there's more than enough rain falling to refill all the Lochs...................enjoy the sunshine while you have it.

Glad the multi-cultural part of the rally etc is still going strong.

Pity Oz were not able to go further - they desereved to - and showed some real team spirit - an area where some of the bigger footballing nations have failed so miserable.

We are heading over to the boat for what looks like a wet week-end - if it get's too wet - we will focus on the fact that you don't have any :-) that will make us feel a whole lot better.

Take Care
