Ten (no seven!) Days to Go!

Well stunningly, it all seems to be going to plan.
We've secured tenants for the homestead, and they take up residence next Friday.
Means a couple of days for Sue and I staying over at younger sons farm, but no worries, as furnitures being collected next Wednesday and we were not looking forward to sleeping on the bare boards anyway.
Did a quick chandlery trip earlier today - picked up a few times that appealed and some needed bits - and will add them into the parcels we've prepped to carry stuff out to Turkey. We've had to divi up the heap of kit to get out to the boat into managable parcels so we can carry it as part of our air luggage - for which we each have a max 20 kg limit.
Pack No 1 contains new radio, antenna, and bits (heavy) plus some clothes - right up to the max of 40 Kg between us, all to be carried out first trip Sunday 9th March.
Pack 2 contains everything else divided into 4 x 10 Kg parcels - 2 of which we can also carry out three weeks later (when we return from a visit home for a family wedding around mid May). The other 2 x 10 Kg parcels will be carried out by younger son and pals who will borrow the yacht whilst we're at that wedding.
Still got to sort out clothes to go to storage, and what we'll take back to the boat, and frustratingly, still to sell the BMW. (Stop press - now SOLD :-).
Sues Golf GTI is going to her pal who's admired it for some time, and the old Merc sports is going into storage for the duration. Don't want to wish away my time but sneakily looking forward also to getting her back to like new trim in a few years time - beaut car.
So not much more to do really.
Just had Saturday night away for Cotswold based pals 60th - great time - fabulous part of England.
This last week will see us still cleaning / packing Monday and Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday at work still. Friday probably getting liquidated again.
Have a big office bash Tuesday evening to farewell business friends and head office team.
So still working on those schedules - what a sadster I am.
Only seven days now left - it is flying by - and my little excitement bubble has grown to something quite large!
JOHN
