Come on in and say hello via a 'comment'. We've cruised our Hanse 46' sailboat from UK to Egypt to the Caribbean mainly two handed from 2004 to 2008 - and enjoyed every minute. We are back temporarily in the UK - but sunshine beckons us again for next summer.

13th April - And a Friday

Posted at 10:33 PM, Friday, April 13, 2007

Despite the fact its a Friday we've had a good day.

1.  Found out I can run BBC Radio 4 on the internet / wi-fi connection.  Great to be typing this whilst listening to Question Time and can't wait until tomorrow Today program.  Sad eh!

2.  Found me pesto plant!  Last years we were gifted with a Basil plant when in Kemer and despite a lack of green fingers, kept it going on a diet of wine, water and beer dregs to Egypt and back.  Sadster I am, I planted it under some bushes when we left.  IT LIVES ON.

3. Hanse have agree to pay for repairs to my keel.  Great service as boat is well outside warranty.

So despite what people say - Friday 13th is not always a bad day.

And its goodnight from me.

JOHN

John I have posted a photo on the 531/540 thread on the my Hanse site. You can clearly see the construction method on the 531. Whether the same on the 461 I don't know but I imagine a look from the inside of the anchor locker will tell all!!

Cheers

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the head up. Have checked and doesn;t look like weve same issues - so hopefully they fixed ours in OK.
Or we've not had the strong anchoring winds you've had!
Regards
JOHN
